Watch the Stars of ‘Criminal Minds’ Help Fulfill This Boy’s Dream
Shemar Moore
Sometimes a small gesture can make a huge difference.

Fifteen-year-old Manuel Sanchez-Paniagua has been battling liver and brain cancer for the past year. And when the cast and crew of Criminal Minds heard the CBS procedural was his favorite show, they jumped at the chance to meet him. Et was behind the scenes of Manuel's day on the set with stars Joe Mantegna and Shemar Moore.

"As we travel around the world some times as we do and to do publicity, we find out we do have an impact all over the world," Mantegna told Et. "It's great to find out in person that someone does."

Video: Boy with Autism Gets a Special Gift from Sanitation Worker
Daniel Mulligan of Ojai, Calif., 5, looks forward to his neighborhood's weekly trash pick-up, watching in fascination as the garbage is picked up by sanitation workers. But his usual Monday routine had a welcome surprise, captured on video, when he got to meet one of his heroes - and got a truck of his own. Mulligan, who has autism, first became interested in garbage trucks after his mother, Robin Newberger, showed him videos of them to help him understand he didn't need to be afraid of their loud noises. "He knows which trash can is going out on which day and...

Fox 2013-2014 Full Schedule Preview With Trailers And Images
Fox has one of its better slates coming your way with the new season, especially if you take the midseason shows into account. Some of these shows may not jump out at you now as must-see, but some of them are going to take over, if I’m any judge anyway.

Clear showcase offerings Dads, Almost Human, and Us & Them are guaranteed to take off early. Almost Human has J.J. Abrams recognition to pull people in, though it looks to be a show that could flounder after a few episodes, even if I hope it doesn’t. The other two are going to become hits. Unfortunately, we have to wait until mid-season for the Gavin & Stacey remake.

Rake also looks like a winner, as long as the translation can be made to work as an Americanized product, and the show actually delivers what made the Australian original so brilliant.

Take...

Seth Green, Mila Kunis, Alex Borstein, and Seth MacFarlane in Family Guy (1999)
Fox Picks Up Animated Series Murder Police
Seth Green, Mila Kunis, Alex Borstein, and Seth MacFarlane in Family Guy (1999)
Fox has officially picked up the series Murder Police, an animated show from Jason Ruiz and former Family Guy showrunner/executive producer David Goodman. It will riff on the traditional cop show with Ruiz providing the voice of the good cop, Manuel Sanchez, and Will Sasso voicing the bad cop, Tommy Margaretti. Horatio Sanz and Penny Marshall will also voice characters. (Yes, that Penny Marshall.) This is Fox’s first animated series order in two years — they last tried with Allen Gregory and Napoleon Dynamite — and their most recent attempt at animated success beyond patriarchal family comedies. Maybe if the cop stuff fails to gain traction, they can just do a series-long, Family Guy–esque cutaway to a show about the bonehead Sanchez relating to his wife and kids.

'Murder Police': Fox orders 13 episodes of animated cop comedy
"Murder Police," an animated cop comedy from "Family Guy" scribe David A. Goodman and newcomer Jason Ruiz, has been picked up by Fox.

The network has ordered 13 episodes of "Murder," to air in the 2013-14 season.

"David and Jason came to us with a really fresh take on law enforcement that we've never seen before," said Fox Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly in announcing the pickup.

"With 'Murder Police,' these guys are taking a staple genre of television -- the cop show -- and turning it on its head by pushing the warped comedic boundaries that only animation can offer. It's the kind of show our Animation Domination fans will absolutely love, and I can't wait to introduce it next season."

Fox's current Sunday-night Animation Domination lineup includes "The Simpsons," "Family Guy," "American Dad," "The Cleveland Show" and "Bob's Burgers."

Manuel Sanchez (voiced by co-creator Ruiz) is described as...

Fox orders animated 'Murder Police' for 2013-2014
Seth Green, Mila Kunis, Alex Borstein, and Seth MacFarlane in Family Guy (1999)
Fox did a little early Christmas shopping on Tuesday (December 4), picking up the animated comedy "Murder Police" for the 2013-2014 season.   "Murder Police" comes from "Family Guy" veteran David A. Goodman and Jason Ruiz, who was discovered as part of Fox's Inkubation program. The project has received a 13-episode order.   Ruiz also will voice the show's lead character, Manuel Sanchez, a good cop trying to fight crime the right way, but battling his own clumsiness and the ineptitude around him. And speaking of that ineptitude, Will Sasso voices the main character's violence-prone partner Tommy Margaretti.   Other actors...

Fox orders animated comedy about inept cops
David A. Goodman
Fox has ordered 13 episodes of a new animated comedy dubbed Murder Police, which the net says follows a “dedicated, but inept detective and his colleagues – some perverted, some corrupt, some just plain lazy – in a twisted city precinct.” The series from David A. Goodman (Family Guy) and Jason Ruiz will bow sometime during the 2013-14 season.

“David and Jason came to us with a really fresh take on law enforcement that we’ve never seen before,” said Fox Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly in a statement. “With Murder Police, these guys are taking a staple genre of television – the cop show...
