After his studies at the Sergio Tofano acting school in Turin and advanced studies in New York and Paris, Stefano Saccotelli worked on stage with directors Ian Williams, Aldo Zampieri and Pier Giuseppe Corrado (lead actor in "Occhio folle occhio lucido" and in "Solo con la libertà..."). In "Lettere dal Sahara (Letters from the Sahara)" by Vittorio De Seta (Venice 2006) he appeared in the role of Father Sandro. He co-starred in "La tempêta" by Marcello Vai (as Giovanni the partisan) and in many independent productions, including roles in English and French. On Italian television, Stefano has appeared in the soap operas "Centovetrine" and "Vivere", as well as guest starring in the popular sitcoms "Camera café" and "Piloti". He has also acted in many major TV dramas such as: "Le stagioni del cuore", "Lo smemorato di Collegno", "L'amore non basta (quasi mai...)", "I segreti di Borgo Larici", "Sacrificio d'amore" and "Masantonio - Sezione Scomparsi" (Mediaset), "La bambina dalle mani sporche", "Il bene e il male", "Enrico Mattei, l'uomo che guardava al futuro", "Walter Chiari, fino all'ultima risata", "Purché finisca bene (La tempesta/L'amore, il sole e le altre stelle)", "Questo nostro amore 70", "Rocco Schiavone (Castore e Polluce)", "Non uccidere 2 (Le Figlie di Maat)", "Provaci ancora Prof! 7 (Errori a catena)", "La strada di casa 2" and "Cuori" (Rai), "Il mostro di Firenze" (Sky/Fox). Giuliano Montaldo entrusted to him the roles of Stellowsky's servant in "I demoni di San Pietroburgo (The Demons of St. Petersburg)" and of the trade-unionist in "L'industriale". He starred as lead character (Giorgio) in Anna Bucchetti's short film "Resta" (Best Foreign Language Drama at San Francisco Women's Film Festival 2009), and guest-starred in Junior Lucano's "Alla rovescia", which earned a special mention at Piemonte Movie 2010. Stefano's credits also include Umberto Spinazzola's "L'ultimo crodino", Giuseppe Capotondi's "La doppia ora (The Double Hour)" (Venice 2009), Andrea Molaioli's "Il gioiellino", Fabrizio Costa's "L'uomo che rubò la Gioconda" (Mediaset/France 2/Tsr1), Riccardo Donna's "Fuoriclasse" (Raiuno), Paolo Poeti's "La farfalla granata" (Raiuno), Fabrizio Costa's "La bella e la bestia" (Raiuno) and Claudio Norza's "Alex & Co." (Disney Channel). Lead role, director and screenwriter for the web-sitcom "Kul Senter" (Premio Patologico at Rome Festival Internazionale Cinema Patologico 2016), Stefano co-stars in the musical "A Christmas Carol" (directed by Melina Pellicano) and performs his one-man-show "Diversamente...altri". He is also featured as the lead actor in Luigi Pirandello's classic "L'uomo dal fiore in bocca (The Man with a Flower in His Mouth)" directed by Aldo Zampieri, and performed in the popular Chinese TV drama "Hao Xian Sheng (To Be a Better Man)" directed by Zhang Xiaobo (Zhejiang TV/Jiangsu TV/LETV, the prisoner) and in the film "Toy Gun" (directed by Marco Serafini, Antonio), a Luxembourg-Belgium co-production. Lead character in Beatrice Vargiu's short film "Hay Almas (There Are Souls)" Best Indie Narrative Short at the New York Neorealism Film Awards, in the multi-awarded short film "Il tempo che insegna" (directed by Giacomo De Bello) and in the TV drama in French "Le vol d'Anouk" (Rai Vd'A, Cédric), Stefano has played the role of the clerk of the court in "La legge di Lidia Poët" by Matteo Rovere and Letizia Lamartire (Netflix) and will appear soon in Neri Marcorè's film "Zamora" (the customer at the bar) and in Rai TV drama "Il clandestino", directed by Rolando Ravello (the concierge).
