Dodd passed away in 2018 at the age of 90, and left a legacy of laughter in a career that began in the 1940s.

Roger Daltrey has been unveiled as the final headliner for the Teenage Cancer Trust’s historic annual Royal Albert Hall concert series.

The Who frontman will close out the cancer charity’s weeklong fundraising series on Sunday 26 March.

The long-running ITV show, which compiled home videos of accidents and funny moments, was launched in 1990. Jeremy Beadle was the original narrator.

Most recently, comedian Harry Hill was serving as presenter, fronting 341 of 701 episodes.

As reported by The Sun, the series – which once attracted 15 million people in its prime – is coming to an end.

An insider told the publication: “The fact that You’ve Been Framed has been shelved is a sad sign of the times.”

They continued: “It’s a different world to Jeremy Beadle’s heyday. Why would viewers tune in to a show featuring funny videos when they could see the same sort of thing on the internet?

Despite the fact that his first musical, a parody of The X Factor called I Can't Sing, closed within six weeks of opening at the Palladium, Harry Hill has decided to keep writing. According to Digital Spy, Hill is hard at work on a new project with Steve Brown, although he won't reveal the subject matter or the title. Hill maintains that even though the relative failure of I Can't Sing was a blow, he was buoyed by the joy of working at the Palladium each day, which has helped spur him on toward working on his new projects.

A vessel for everyone’s grief, Brahms is intended as creepy, yet in these cheap-looking surrounds he rather resembles a stray Harry Hill prop; an endless string of restless Pov shots can’t transform a tchotchke into a credible threat. Elsewhere, gimmickmonger William Brent Bell (The Devil Inside) has only careworn gotchas to offer, and he exhausts those long before the indifferently staged stalk-and-slash finale. None other than Sir Terry Wogan phoned in to challenge the DJ to abseil down Blackpool Tower for BBC Children in Need.

Mills will be joined by Royal Marines for the 400ft abseil.

"I would say I'm really excited to be part of Children in Need this year, but to be honest, I am ridiculously nervous about what I am taking on," Mills noted.

"If facing my fear and abseiling the Blackpool Tower inspires even just one person to donate then it will be absolutely worth it... especially when I get to the ground!"

You've Been Framed viewers have criticised the programme after a repeat failed to remove an insensitive Cilla Black joke.

A rerun shown over the weekend included a joke about the presenter banging her head in a swimming pool.

Black passed away at the age of 72 earlier this year, after suffering a traumatic head injury while in Spain.

The episode of You've Been Framed saw presenter Harry Hill narrate a scene featuring a red-haired woman falling and hitting her head, saying: "And here's Cilla Black's last show for ITV. Cilla's super splash down."

While the show originally aired months before Black's death, fans took to Twitter to voice their criticism:

StudioCanal is aiming to strengthen its UK presence with the launch of a new TV and film production company.

StudioCanal has announced the creation of Guilty Party, a new UK-based production company run by producer Spencer Millman (The Inbetweeners 2) and actor-writers Simon Bird (The Inbetweeners) and Jonny Sweet (Chickens).

The new company will come under the creative supervision of Nicola Shindler, executive producer and founder of drama firm Red Production Company.

The move underlines StudioCanal’s ambition to strengthen its position in the UK. The French film giant will own a 25% share in Guilty Party as a partner in the company and will also handle worldwide distribution.

The evening will see Sir Bruce Forsyth return to Strictly Come Dancing to host a Call the Midwife special.

Stars of Call the Midwife Jenny Agutter, Laura Main, Stephen McGann and Jack Ashton will all strut their stuff for charity, fighting to win the Pudsey Glitter Ball trophy.

The new instalment of The Incredible Adventures of Professor Branestawm has added Diana Rigg, Steve Pemberton and Bob Mortimer to the cast.

Harry Hill has already been confirmed to reprise his role as the batty inventor for the children's drama, set to air at Christmas.

Rigg will be playing Lady Pagwell, Pemberton will be Professor Algebrain and Mortimer will take on the role of Professor Awfulshirt.

The show relaunched in January after being off air for nine years but struggled in the ratings and received some poor reviews from critics - although some praised its tongue-in-cheek style.

The Sun has now claimed that the show will not be returning for a second series.

The report claims that while ITV executives were happy with the show, the low ratings and struggle to capture viewers mean that it will not be getting any more episodes.

However, Hill is expected to maintain a relationship with ITV, with the report claiming that he recently filmed a pilot called Harry Hill's Tea Time.

The show - apparently described as "TV Burp meets cookery" - would see Hill preparing a three-course meal with a celebrity guest.

The past couple of weekends have seen the launch of two brand new programmes on the channel - circus skill, er, thing Get Your Act Together and an almost unrecognisable revamp of Stars in Their Eyes.

To put it very politely, neither have been received favourably by the public.

Get Your Act Together, presented by Stephen Mulhern, largely featured ex-Dancing on Ice contestants performing sub-par talents, while Stars in Their Eyes presenter Harry Hill has been criticised for ruining the original programme and tainting our '90s nostalgia by throwing baked goods around and doing silly skits.
