- Birth nameFrancis Morgan Farley
- Morgan Farley was born on October 3, 1898 in Mamaroneck, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for High Noon (1952), Soylent Green (1973) and Star Trek (1966). He died on October 11, 1988 in San Pedro, California, USA.
- Character actor with a long theatrical career, dating back to 1918. He remained busy on Broadway, both in drama and in comedy, until called up for military service in 1941. Subsequently worked as dialogue coach and small part actor in films and on television. Perhaps best remembered for his two guest roles on Star Trek (1966), in 'The Return of the Archons' and 'The Omega Glory'.
- Along with Felix Locher, Judith Anderson, Richard Hale, Anthony Jochim, Celia Lovsky, Leonard Mudie, Charles Seel, Bill Borzage, Abraham Sofaer and Ian Wolfe, he is one of only eleven "Star Trek" actors to have been born in the 19th Century. He played Hacom in The Return of the Archons (1967) and the Yang Scholar in The Omega Glory (1968). Of the eleven actors in question, he was the youngest.
- Survived by a nephew and two nieces.
- He was an openly homosexual actor at a time when homosexuality was widely frowned upon and even, in some places, illegal, and remained an active campaigner for gay rights up to his death. This may possibly account for his 12-year absence from film and TV work between 1954 and 1966.
- Father: John T. Farley; Mother: Marie T. Morgan.
