- In 1963, he recorded with Philippe Noiret the French songs "Consuela", "Marche Grecque", "Mon Grand" and "Paris-Paname" which were written by Henri Betti (music) and Jean Cosmos (lyrics).
- In 1985, he recorded a song together with his wife Corinne Lahaye called "Après Moi".
- In 1993, with his wife Corinne Lahaye, he founded the" Estivales de Carpentras festival", which would take place until 2009.
- He notably played Molière (whose Imaginary Memoirs he also wrote ) in the television series Molière pour rire et pour pleure.
- In 1994, he published his memoirs: "Why do you say that while laughing?" ( Pourquoi dites-vous ça en riant?).
- During the celebrations of the bicentenary of the execution of Louis XVI (21st January 1993), he read the king's will into the microphone on the Place de la Concorde, where thousands of people had gathered to pay homage to the latter.
- From 1953, he joined the troupe of Jean Vilar 's TNP (Théâtre national populaire); at the same time, he formed a cabaret duo with Philippe Noiret, also at the TNP: "Darras et Noiret".
