James Tillis

was trained by Muhammad Ali's trainer Angelo Dundee. He fought top
contenders including Mike Tyson, Mike Weaver, Earnie Shavers, Pinklon
Thomas, Greg Page, Tim Witherspoon, Carl Williams, Gerrie Coetzee,
Tyrell Biggs, Frank Bruno, Evander Holyfield, and Tommy Morrison. His
first title shot was against WBA heavyweight champion Mike Weaver but
he lost to a points decision.
