- Kien Shih was born on January 1, 1913 in Shígang Village, Panyu, Guangdong, China. He was an actor and production manager, known for Enter the Dragon (1973), Rivals of Kung Fu (1974) and Na Zha nao dong hai (1957). He died on June 3, 2009 in Hong Kong, China.
- Began film career in 1939 as a makeup man in Hong Kong. Expert at Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. Appeared in most of the 99 original "Wong Fei Hung" films made from 1949 to 1970. Has appeared in several hundred films. He did not speak English, so his lines were overdubbed by Chinese-American actor Keye Luke.
