David Ransley has retired. He was an accomplished freelance Picture Editor & Colourist and a member of the Directors Guild of Canada. His last feature project was the documentary -The Last White Knight- 2013.
He has been fortunate over his career to have edited Feature films, TV Movies, TV series, Documentaries, Reality Series, Movie Trailers, TV Promos and award winning Music Videos.
In addition David had Online and Colour Correction experience. He also taught picture editing in the Advanced Film and Television program at Sheridan College. For the Directors Guild of Canada, David created and taught the Assistant Editors course at Humber College.
Born in London, Ontario and raised in Waterloo he has been active behind and in front of the movie camera since the age of seventeen. His big break came first as a driver and then as an assistant editor on the Oscar winning film -Quest For Fire-.
He holds a B.A. from the University of Guelph and a Film Production Diploma from Conestoga College.
