Played the harmonica in two of his Westerns. First in Conagher, Daniel played harmonica in two scenes by the request of Louis L'Amour's widow, Katherine L'Amour. Katherine asked Daniel play two of Louis's favorites, "(Oh, My Darling) Clementine", and his most favorite, "Red River Valley". Then in The Last Outlaw, Daniel played "Oh Susanna.
