Rain Man (1988)

Jack Murdock during the 1960's and 1970's played in commercials for "Grandpas" discount stores in the Midwest. He was well known and played a "Grandpa" type character complete with overalls, bald head, glasses and a country accent to complete his character. Very successful and well received by the viewing public his longevity was unparalleled.

Bud Coffey was director. William Haviland was lighting designer. T.L. Boston was production stage manager.

Jack endeared himself to youngsters who lived within the range of KTVI Channel 2 in St. Louis from August 1965 till August 1966, His TV horror host role as Kronos on Zone 2 had us kids rushing to TV after school for the latest B-horror movies and slapstick comedy. A pie to the face from an aluminum foil covered box was always appreciated.
