The very first continuity girl, a job now known as script supervisor. She suggested the position to Allan Dwan, who accepted the idea for his film Arizona (1918).

Had two children with her husband Victor Heerman - a daughter Catharine Anliss Heerman (February 5, 1922-April 4, 2007), an artist and teacher of art in Southern California, and a son Victor Eugene Heerman, Jr. (1924/5-July 2, 2014), a successful breeder of Thoroughbred racehorses.
