Dulce Maria Espinoza Saviñón is a veteran of the Mexican entertainment scene by the time she reached her twenties, she started her career when she was only a little girl, doing commercials. At age 8 she was part of a show for kids called Plaza Sésamo and shortly after, started at El Club de Gaby.

Dulce Maria started singing in 1996 with the band Kids, that made success with songs like, "La Mejor De Tus Sonrisas" and "Prende El Switch".

In 1999, she quit the band and started singing with Daniel Habif, her boyfriend at the time, who is also a former member of Kids. Together they started a project called D&D, but for unknown reasons the project fell through.

In 2000 she entered for the band Jeans during a big event at "El Palacio De Los Desportes". And then, they released the album "Cuarto para las Cuatro". In 2002, Dulce left the band to be part of the cast of Clase 406; it was her first opportunity to be the lead actress.

In 2004 she joined the cast of Rebelde, where she was one of the lead actresses, playing Roberta Pardo. And during this world-wide success, she and her friends Alfonso "Poncho" Herrera, Anahí, Maite Perroni, Christopher Uckermann and Cristian Chavez started the band RBD, which is also a world-wild success. Selling 20 million records worldwide before disbanding following their 2008 Gira del Adios World Tour.

In 2009 she signed a solo deal with Universal Music and starred in the telenovela Verano de Amor, starting to reconcile her acting career and her career as a solo singer.

In 2010 starred in the episode "Eliana, Cuñada" of the Mexican series Mujeres Asesinas, considered the most controversial and acclaimed the most controversial and acclaimed. In 2011 starred in the film ¿Alguien ha visto a Lupita?, winner of Glauber Rocha Award at the Montréal World Film Festival and as the best film at the Lima Film Festival.

Made special appearances in Rebelde Rio (2012), Miss XV (2012) and Mentir para Vivir (2013). In 2014 she participated in the film "Quiero ser Fiel", a box office success in the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

In 2016 she played a major role in the hit telenovela Corazón Que Miente, in 2017 starred the telenovela Muy Padres and in 2020 starred in the second season of Telemundo's popular series, Falsa Identidad.

As a solo singer, she released three albums, "Extranjera" (2011), which reached number one on the Mexico album chart and became the first Mexican artist to certify platinum record in Brazil, "Sin Fronteras" (2014) and "DM" (2017).
