The critically acclaimed West End production of “Macbeth,” starring David Tennant and Cush Jumbo, is getting a cinema release across the U.K., U.S., Australia and other select international territories. The adaptation, directed by Max Webster, is currently playing to sold-out audiences at London’s Harold Pinter Theatre.
Tennant and Jumbo play Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, respectively, in a new take on Shakespeare’s classic tale of love and murder. In an exclusive first clip of the filmed version — which was shot during the play’s run at the Donmar Warehouse last year — Tennant and Jumbo passionately perform Act 1, Scene 7, where they conspire to kill Duncan, the King of Scotland, so Macbeth can take the throne. Watch the clip above.
“Macbeth” will screen in cinemas beginning Feb. 5, 2025 from Trafalgar Releasing in partnership with Donmar Warehouse. Tickets will go on sale starting Oct. 16 at MacbethDonmarCinema.com.

You can almost smell the tea and toast of a Saturday afternoon kick-back with the television as you watch Bouli Lanners island tale of tentative romance. Gentle enough for even the most fragile of constitutions, the writer/director/star puts the wild and windswept backdrop of the Isle of Lewis to good use in his first English language feature, without it feeling like an advert for the tourist board.
Lanners plays Phil, sort for Philippe, an incomer who spends his days working for the farm run by gruff Angus (Julian Glover), alongside the older man's son Peter (Cal MacAninch) grandson Brian (Andrew Still). Also living at the farm is lonely middle-aged singleton Millie (Michelle Fairley), who has picked up the local nickname "ice cream" on account.
When Phil has a stroke that makes him lose his memory, Millie makes a decision that surprises even her. The film hinges on the late-romance warmth that is.

Tagline: "Thou Shall Not Let A Witch to Live." The Reckoning is the latest horror film from United Kingdom director Neil Marshall (Doomsday). His latest is set in the year 1665, when the Great Plague is still ravaging Europe. Meanwhile, witch burning is the norm. In the chaos, a widowed mother is targeted for persecution, after rejecting the advances of a landlord. This title stars: Charlotte Kirk (Ocean's 8), Cal MacAninch (Calibre) and Ian Whyte. A concept poster (left) and early still were released for the film late last year; now, two more stills are available, showing more of the cast. Director Marshall has talked about the film a few times, since 2019. At The Sun, he talked about actress Charlotte Kirk's challenges working on set: "she's literally being doused in water and tied up to torture devices and persecuted on a daily basis." This was not an average shoot for any of the filmmakers.

"How much are you prepared to pay?" Lionsgate has released an official Us trailer for the next film in the Intrigo trilogy, this one officially titled Intrigo: Dear Agnes. We featured the trilogy teaser last year, and the main trailer for Intrigo: Death of an Author earlier this year. This is the second feature film in the big screen adaptation of the mystery series. With the death of her husband, Agnes is desperate for money. Then she runs into her old friend Henny, who is enraged at her unfaithful spouse, Peter. Henny makes Agnes a shocking offer—enough cash to live a better life, if she will murder Peter and get rid of him. All this leads to an "explosive, unforgettable climax." Based on a series of short stories from Sweden, of course. This specific murder thriller stars Carla Juri, Gemma Chan, Jamie Sives, Jason Wong, Laurie Kynaston, and Cal MacAninch.

Mr Selfridge Season 2
Season 2 of Mr Selfridge is set precisely one hundred years ago — on the eve of World War I. However, while others prepared for battle it was business as usual for the effervescent Harry Selfridge. Money was rolling in and his personal star was rising but it didn’t take long for the chinks to appear in his armor. His excitement about the return of his wife quickly dissipated when it became clear that she had fallen under the spell of a controversial new friend — Soho club owner Delphine Day (Polly Walker). Things went from bad to worse when he lost a beloved client after Lord Loxley (Aidan McArdle) cancelled his wife’s account during an angry exchange on the shop floor. On the plus side, Agnes (Aisling Loftus) made a welcome return although she quickly got on the wrong side of the cantankerous Head of Fashion (Cal MacAninch...
