Her cabaret career, which began in the 1970s, included engagements at the Duplex, the Ballroom, Eighty Eights and the Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room. She wrote the book/lyrics for a one-woman show about living with Marfan, "Clinical Trials," with composer Joel Maisano, who wrote the music. She also lectured and conducted workshops for families affected by genetic disorders.
