Eddie Kehler (November 20, 1966) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has been acting professionally since 1987. His training started as a graduate of the two year Meisner program at William Esper Studio in New York, in which he studied with Maggie Flanigan. He had the opportunity to then study with the incomparable Wynn Handman. He is a member of the celebrated Actors Studio, where he has studied sensory work with Barbara Bain and Penelope Allen.
His professional career began on the stage, and encompasses theater, film, commercial and television appearances from New York to Los Angeles. He has appeared in numerous television and independent films which include Desperate Housewives (2004), Dexter (2006) and Criminal Minds (2005) as well as many others. He played the recurring role of the autistic man Paul Potts on Ally McBeal (1997).
Eddie has also been teaching acting and coaching since 2001 in Los Angeles. Among the terrific actors Eddie has coached, many have gone on to great work in T.V., theater and film. His insights from years at the Actors Studio have been invaluable to apply what he has learned to support the work of fellow actors.
