Bassist / keyboardist for the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin

Before and after his stint in Led Zeppelin, worked as a studio musician and arranger.

His daughter Jacinda Jones is a musician, too. He has two other daughters, Tamara and Kiera.

He worked with Diamanda Galás

His wife and daughters appear in The Song Remains the Same (1976).

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of Led Zeppelin) in 1995.

Presented the Musician of The Year award to Andy Cutting at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. (4th February 2008).

Reunited with his former band mates from Led Zeppelin (Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and Jason Bonham, son of the late drummer, John Bonham), for a benefit concert honoring Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. (December 2007)
