ABOUT: Â‘AcceptÂ’ is Perception FilmsÂ’ 2nd short film project. Written by James Phillips / Co-Written by Tom Pickard / Produced and Directed by James Phillips and Tom Pickard. The film was shot on location in September 2012. Shot on the ARRI Alexa camera, edited in FCP 7 and graded in Baselight at Prime Focus, London. SYNOPSIS: Three people, three conversations, one connection. Accept follows the path of a mysterious Man as he proceeds to converse with three different people: Rose, David and Frank. Rose is a beautiful woman in her late twenties. David is a young boy with a talent and Frank, a retired family-man in his mid-seventies. Not much is known about the mysterious Man, except that he leaves Rose upset and then proceeds to spend separate time with David and then Frank. The conversations patch together a tapestry of emotion and a heartbreaking connection, leaving you having to face up to the biggest proposition of your life. Accept asks an important question; How will you answer it?

Thought provoking

A very well made film, although only 15 minutes long you can see the trouble they went through to get it just right, from the locations shot at you can appreciate the trouble that the Directors went through. Each scene has been crafted well to bring the story across to the viewer, as it goes into the next chapter. Would definitely have to view this again to fully appreciate the full story and the connections of the characters involved. This is Tom and James second recent outing, there first being "Secrets Of The Content" another worthy piece of film making which must be seen as well. Both Directors Tom and James deserve the praise for the this film, and for all the hard work and effort that went into making the film, can only be a matter of time before they go onto greater things.
