Demon Within

Demon Within might be about a regular man encountering a demon, the Slenderman, or even an alien-I'm not entirely sure. The sinister creature could be any of them. However, what's more important is whether it's even real. Then again, I think the point of this horror short film is to keep that unclear. We're deliberately left to question what's real and what isn't-just like the main character does throughout the film.

The theme of ambiguity is placed right in front of us the entire time. For example, the pharmaceutical drug the protagonist is taking is called Obscurum, a Latin word meaning "dark" or "unclear."

Overall, I think the short film is pretty decent. The sound effects, in particular, are excellent and genuinely terrifying. Still, I would have liked a bit more clarity about the creature's origin.
