I support the troops and love to laugh, that is why I watched this movie. And I'm so glad I did. This movie was very entertaining. The stand up was very funny. And not just the stand up but the parts of the film where they are training, working on their material and the feedback they get from the professional comics is really funny too. The stories of how they got their injuries were all very interesting. You hear them tell their stories first hand what was going through their head when they were injured. The injuries they have are so traumatic, it's inspiring to see how they are coping with them. This film shows you that if you look for it, something positive can always come from something negative. I think this film will inspire others too.

Our service men and women give so much to us. They go over sacrifice themselves then come back injured and oftentimes that includes the lose of a limb. I can not imagine how tough and painful that is to endure. In the movie "Comedy Warriors" we met 5 service men/women who use the power of laughter to overcome the injuries they suffered during the war. Later on they team up with several established comedians and they begin working on their material. They go back home and at the end they perform in Los Angeles and the best part is they do great, they are really funny even when they are not referencing the injuries. There are not many films that make you feel good about the world fortunately "Comedy Warriors" is an uplifting experience.
I like the honesty of this film. We hear how these servicemen and woman were injured. And the physical and mental pain they went through and are still going through. Very courageous.
I really fell in love with these guys. First they go and fight for our country. Then they get severely injured. And now they are being brave again and going out there on stage and trying to make us laugh. That is awesome! They said it is a way to help them heal, but it's still a service they are providing the public, providing humor and laughter. They are very funny individuals. I would definitely pay to see them if they were performing at a club.

I am a big fan of documentary film, and this is one of my favorites of the last few years. The service men and women of the US go through quite a bit in their time serving they suffer physical and mental traumas few would understand. In this film comedy is used to help them get through their issues. Many candid moments between professional comics and these war veterans really make the film authentic, you can tell that these men need a form of therapy and the comedians help them to achieve that. Few stories manage to grab you from the start, and keep your attention until the end, but this one does. Documentary film making is supposed to transport you into another persons life, to help you understand their lives better, and this film does exactly that.
I gotta admit I'm a pretty liberal guy. I didn't approve of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and I'm not a real military guy. That being said, I still support the troops and my heart aches for all they endure. It was with these conflicting feelings that I watched "Comedy Warriors" I can't imagine losing a leg or seeing what these guys saw. I loved hearing their stories, but even more I loved watching them kill it on-stage. It was especially cool seeing them get pointers from established comedians and how their advice helped their sets improve, and the best part these vets were truly funny, there weren't any pity laughs they killed it!
