I saw this on Tubi and I was pleasantly impressed. Well above-average as far as Hallmark-style rom-coms go.
Our hero (Shay) makes perfumes, and is trying to make the most sought after of all perfumes: a love potion. Her best friend (Darian, who aspires to be a male model), organises a meeting with perfume maker Amy, but Shay arrives late and manages to spill her perfume sample on her nephew, Austin.
Austin immediately falls for Shay, which leaves her a dilemma: does he like her of his own free will, or did she really make a love potion and he only likes her because of that? So the plot unfolds as she tries to answer this.
Of course, being a rom-com, there are no surprises about whether Shay and Austin get together. But the question of the love potion keeps it interesting, as do a couple of interesting subplots, such as Darian and his modelling aspirations. The chemistry between the two lead actors is good, and the romance build naturally.
There is the inevitable twist, and if I had a complaint, it is that everything gets wrapped up a bit too quickly and neatly in the last few minutes of the film. But when the pieces come together so nicely, it is hard to complain.
Finally, for those who care about these things: there is nothing sexual - nothing more than a kiss - and no semi-nudity or even revealing clothing as far as I recall.
