It's just-we had never seen anyone from our region doing that kind of stuff, you know? Somehow our stories always had to be about being a Muslim, living in the Middle East, hardships, bombs, politics this and that where Americans and Brits could do their cool, white girl stuff. Which is not fair. We can be self-absorbed sex maniacs too; you know?
