Believe It or Not #8 (1931)
** 1/2 (out of 4)
One of the better entries in the series has Robert L. Ripley at a party when he's called upon to tell of some "believe it or not" stories. These include a tree that grew into a chair as well as a couple who were buried side-by-side only to have a tree grow up between them. We then see a two-horned goat and a cow with only two legs. Other stories is a woman in California who believed if she kept building rooms onto her house that she's never die. When she did die the house had 144 rooms. We see the oldest house standing, which was 350-years-old and then another set of houses made inside wine barrels. This eighth entry in the series is certainly one of the better ones as we get a lot of video footage of the stuff we're told about, which is a major plus since we don't just have to rely on Ripley's voice. Some of the footage was pretty neat including the two-legged cow and the animation to North Carolina's blowing rock. For the most part all the stories were of some interest and there were only a couple duds.
