Another one of cartoon networks failed cartoons. Power Players is stupid, doesnt make sense and its just boring in the first place. Animation is decent, but the show just doesn't make sense.
This show should be cancelled.

When I first heard about the show, I wasn't really interested in it because I thought it was another cheap Cartoon Network acquisition. Later, I started hearing some good things about it on my Twitter timeline, so I decided to check it out. To my surprise, I quite enjoyed it.
This show is basically Ben 10 + Toy Story, as it involves toy superheroes, and also involves a human kid named Axel who can turn into a toy. The premise is super cool, but I feel like the "show about amateur heroes with a mix of action and comedy and a slight story arc" has been done better by the Cartoon Network original, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart.
The writing is snappy and the characters work off each other really well. Each of the characters have cool powers and weapons. It does borrow a lot from other Man of Action and Zagtoon properties, namely Ben 10 and Miraculous Ladybug. Axel looks and sounds like Adrien Agreste from Miraculous, and he can secretly turn into Action Axel like how Adrien and Marinette can turn into Cat Noir and Ladybug, respectively. Also, Axel and Zoe's dynamic is similar to Ben and Gwen's dynamic, as they're always bickering but care deeply for each other.
Perhaps if this show didn't borrow so much from Ben 10 and Miraculous Ladybug, it could be better and would be more popular, as this show isn't exactly the most popular show on CN right now, but at least it gets a decent time slot on Saturday mornings. Nonetheless, I enjoy it and hope to see it improve sometime soon.

Sure the plot is not that original but I think that it is a fun series with a bright future Yeah there are some things that rip off the toy story like the barbarian bear Also the fact how Axel discover the toys it is not that original. But I think that this can become the new face of Cartoon Network a face that was destroyed by things like Uncle Grandpa or Teen Titans Go but it is what it is
In the end I can say that it is a good series that can be developed in a very good franchise
I watched maybe the first 10 episodes of this series and it's actually quite good. The voice acting is the best I have heard in a while, the actors are playing it so straight and on point that they actually sell it really well. So voice actors area really good. One really good thing I like about it is that it doesn't fell into that trap of quick dialogue that so many series has. Each joke is allowed a 2 second breathing room.
Writing it also quite solid. The science is very Jimmy Neutron like but honestly, it doesn't treat its audience like dummies, it doesn't overly explain things or over complicated it. I feel like the 11 minutes of each episode allowes it just enough time to keep it tight story.
Animation is also very fluid and the action is actually good and fluid.
I'm not gonna ignore the fact that the series is eventually gonna make the toys and sell them but so is all the Ninjago series and any other series. But maybe that's a good thing. I think that kids need a series like this, They have their heads stuck in too many monitors today and it's causing alarming rates of anxiety and isolation. They could need a few toys to help expand their imagination and make them feel safe again.
All in 9 for me. It's not a perfect series, but it's a great change for a new generation.
This show is so bad because the characters are stupid like axel is so annoying this show should be canceled I can't believe zag just woke up and said hey I want to make show about a stupid kid named axel who goes on stupid adventures and another thing what kind of villain names themselves mad cap also power players is clearly a ben ten rip-off this show is so bad I'd rather watch annoying orange.
