OMG, honestly, I didn't expect to laugh so much and so hard. The movie has a new creative idea and very interesting comedy.
I just watched it as part of my french learning process but now it is one of my favorite movies.
And the final song, "On Ira tous au paradis"? I can't get it out of my head

French comedy '' We Are Family '' is a family movie about seven children of divorced parents who had it enough with all the moving around due to co-parenting and come up with a plan of living all together in a house and having the parents doing the rotations.
The movie has a clever idea of a plot, and the children all do an amazing job with their performances. The parents are enjoyable as well. But, even though the movie is fun, it doesn't really explore many of the storylines that just dumps in the plot mix and has them resolved in the next scene.
So, overall, five out of ten for '' We Are Family ''.

I have never seen a bad French movie in my life. I love everything French, food, people, art, fashion, architecture, language, music and movies of course. But every now and then they blow me away even more with something unexpected and so amazing as this movie. I would recommend to all families out there to watch this movie with their loved ones. Not just divorced families, all families. Levels of values in this movie are sky high and will most certainly get through to anyone watching it. Older people, parents, stepparents, uncles, aunts.. And kids! So simply, realistically and lovingly this movie opens your eyes and heart. Just like that . It's just incredibly gorgeously done. Bravo to all the actors and creators!!
I watched this a second time. With a million movies I haven't seen yet, and more produced each year than there are hours to watch them, seeing this again was still worth it.
Seven children ranging from toddler to sub-adult, the result of multiple marriages, repeated divorce, and interlocking (but not incestuous) remarriage, are bouncing between the homes of several sets of parents, stepparents, and grandma each week. Worse, they're being jerked around by the adults, who constantly change the schedules for work or personal reasons, or sometimes just forget. Enough is enough! The kids hatch a scheme to shift the balance of power. The ensuing struggles become a learning experience for everyone. Some romances bloom, and others are tested. More than a few funny moments keep things light.
It's so strange, and amazingly satisfying, to see a realistic, un-bowdlerized portrayal of multiple generations interacting in meaningful ways, without stereotyping or demonizing either the old, the young, or those in between. The little kids act like little kids. The teens and tweens take tentative steps toward maturity. And the adults do things that adults do -- and the children are aware of, react to, and comment on all of it, which is why something of this high quality is produced in France, not here in the U.S.
In many places, We Are Family would be recognized as a fine family comedy, suitable and fun for all ages. (And some of the international ratings reflect that judgement.) Netflix rates it here as TV-MA. What a depressing commentary on our values when this is considered less suitable for kids than any hyper-violent, PG-13, Marvel superhero movie or Fast & Furious flic. I weep for our nation.
But then I remember how excellent this was, and hope springs eternal. Change will come.

We Are Family (C'est quoi cette famille?!) is a French film about a group of seven children, each the offspring of one of a group of divorced parents, who decide to set up their own lives after getting fed up of being transported back and forth between their various parents' houses. Gabriel Julien-Laferriere was the director of 'We Are Family". He was born on February 9th, 1962. He is a French director, screenwriter, and assistant director, known for "SMS" (2014), "What's with this Granny" (2019), and "C'est quoi ce papy?!" (2021). He hasn't been nominated for any awards for his films because he is a small time French director. "We are family" didn't win any prizes. Gabriel Julien-Laferriere's net worth is.1.6 Million. We Are Family (C'est quoi cette famille?!) was shot in France inside of Hugo's (Elliott's Father) apartment during the 21st century. Bastien who was played by. Teilo azais was the main character in this movie. He was young, short, played the guitar and was close with his family. He was the one who had the idea of moving everyone into a huge apartment to become closer together. Throughout the movie their was also a love story between Bastien and the girl he met at school. The themes of this movie is that family's always stick together and small things bring family's closer together. In the beginning of the movie the parents didn't care about the kids as much and always went away on work trips and sent the kids to the other parents house. Throughout the movie though when all the siblings moved into one huge apartment, the parents grew closer with each other and with the kids. Overall, I enjoyed watching this movie and I recommend it to people who like light hearted comedy and enjoy family friendly movies! This movie is funny but also pulls at your heart strings.
