Casanovva

Mohanlal is back with once again a blunder. The script is so lame that you realize that there is NO "Casanova" factor in this movie. Lest any relationships, emotions or likewise.

This one hides under the masquerade of a thriller but proves to be too feeble. The characters are half-baked and not at all legit.

Waste of time, waste of money and waste of brilliant actors who forl the cast of this biggest blunder of 2011.

Casanovva might not have pleased the fans, understandable for it isn't an out & out action flick, neither does it have the comic flavor to tickle our ribs! Rather its an amazing romantic thriller, think about it, how often do u get the blend of those two elements!! Yes, it's stylish and racy too. But i really loved the romantic part, the transition which Casanovva goes through could have been better scripted, but i don't think i have seen dramatic scenes without a pinch bit of surrealism in any Malayalam movies - exception comes in form of classics, but rarely do we see romantic threads in such movies.

The songs were melodic and catchy and peppy, though i awed at the intro song which was a bit inane. I was thoroughly disappointed that the track "sakhiye nin" wasn't there in the movie. The climax wasn't the best to be which i think is only the weak link. The locales weren't much aberrant as commented by my friends, nowadays even Tamil movies show them all. That said Malayalam movie with such stylishness and raunchiness is too good to miss! LALETTAN rocked as usual, shriya was good, and so were the others. Rosshan Andrews needs a standing ovation for presenting it neat, Sanjay & Bobby's screenplay wasn't crispy, but its so stupid to compare their works, Casanovva was written right after "NoteBook" and then came "Traffic" & unlike popular belief I don't think they are one time wonder. Also read many a time that the second half was lifted from "Engeyum Kadhal". Well, This movie was written 3 years back, and in that case it should be the other way. :-D

Personally, I would keep this movie close to my heart - of course I wouldn't endorse the movie to serious movie critics or to insane guys who claim to be a member of some fans association. For those who love to spend 3 hours on wholesome entertainment, this is a one time watch at least. Romance, Action, Songs, Drama. A regaling cuisine with all ingredients you would fall in love with.

Very bad script plus bad acting of Hero Mohanlal. Time for him to retire. Self boosting unnecessarily without substance. Just showing expensive backgrounds, locations, does not mean the movie can create a wow factor. Copying from Hollywood without supportive script will always downfall the entire movie.

Its really a waste of time.

Old movies were good, but this is total disaster, cannot watch more than 30 minutes.

We watch Malayalam movie to get a feel of Kerala and characters of Malayalee. This movie is just opposite of our expectation.

Where are those script writers, directors gone from the Malayalam Film industry.

As a most hyped movie of Malayalam industry .I have saw the movie first day it self. In one word i liked the movie very much. First half was very fast paced and all the three songs are there in the first half. The lead actor mohanlal's introduction as Casenovva is just excellent. He acted with such flexibility.

Positives 1. Good romantic movie 2. Excellent locations 3. Excellent songs 4. Excellent direction 5. Brilliant acting by the lead stars. 6. Most stylish movie 7. Malayalam film ever produced Good BGM Good action sequence Negatives Script is not up to the mark.

Young actors are not up to the mark, but no bad.

Verdict Anyway good movie as a romantic entertainer

There should be a reason why a film is made. The Director himself agreed that was a bad creation. 1/10 for the Roshan Andrews not to commit these mistakes again.
