After closing due to Covid, the show is set to return in eight weeks time. We get a behind the curtain view of all the work it took to bring the show back.
Had the Documentary simply been a behind-the-scenes look at the show, I would have found it interesting. However, the show was closed for over a year, which brought a unique hurdle to overcome. You get a look at how the performers had to shake off rust, set pieces and machinery had to be tested, 2,000 costumes had to be fit-checked and alterations made for them, etc.
Obviously, being closed for a over a year brought hardship to Cirque du Soleil and the entire cast and crew of O, as it did for everyone. Their hardship and Covid are briefly discussed...You're entitled to your own opinions on Covid, but you won't find one in this Doc.
