Altered Reality

Give the movie credit. Thinking back on it it has somewhat a concept straight out of a Steven King novel, but it would have been better if King himself at leased outline the story.

Stories about Time Travel can be hard to do especially when you are trying to be cleaver about it.

I can't say that I did not understand what was happening in the movie so its not confusing, but maybe confusion would have served the movie better as their was not much excitement to it.

If you don't understand what I'm getting at from this review than you understand how I feel about this movie. It's not a bad movie, but it left me pondering on weather it was worth it.

I'm a sucker for Tobin Bell, his performance is pretty good in this movie.

The premise is a bit convoluted but the cinematography is top notch and its overall a visual delight.

It is a very dark movie however I think that comes with the territory of thrillers like this.

The old man in this movie has a top tier performance without going into spoiling it. It's just a shame that they didn't give too many reasons to keep him relevant throughout.

If you are looking to watch something thought provoking with having to invest too much effort into than this is pretty good popcorn thriller. It might end up as a cult classic!

First of all, the story isn't bad (except for the terrible ending), the cast gave a good try.

Well, that is except for the male headrole. Never seen this guy acting before, and there's a good reason to it. He absolutely stinks. Use a display model and it will do a better job.

What brings us to directing. Well, what should have to be directing, because it seems the actors didn't get any directions what so ever.

A movie which could've been good, got messed up in a terrible way. This is an average B-movie, nothing more.

If you have absolutely nothing to watch, then give it a try. But you are warned :-)

What a brilliant movie full of emotion and action. Charles Agron has put together a thrilling and exciting picture that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is a must see film that will force you to think out of the box.

After watching such a tremendously dynamic and inspiring movie you will want to see the next production of such a terrific team of filmmakers. Altered Reality shows that imagination is your only limitiation and that you can achieve anything as long as you have a will for it and the focus as well as a solid discipline. The film is now available on multiple platforms in the USA so don't make an excuse and watch it right now!

While I had not heard about this 2024 thriller prior to sitting down and watching it here in 2025, I needed no persuasion to watch it. Why? Well, it was a movie that I hadn't already seen, and the movie had some nice talents on the cast list.

Writer Charles Agron put together a sluggishly paced narrative that failed to capture my interest. And I ended up with my phone in my hand instead of paying attention to the screen. But I just had zero interest in the narrative and the characters on the screen.

The movie does have some good talents on the cast list, with the likes of Lance Henriksen, Tobin Bell and Edward Asner. Despite the fact that the script was rubbish, the acting performances were still fair.

"Altered Reality" was a swing and a miss and it failed to entertain me. It was, hands down, too boring and uneventful. I managed to endure a staggering 36 minutes of absolute nonsense before I tossed the towel in the ring and gave up on the movie.

As for this being a thriller? Well, I suppose is a narrative of absolutely nothing interesting counts as being thrilling, then by all means...
