In 1967, he starred in an unsold sitcom pilot for ABC called "The Medicine Man." The plot revolved around the misadventures of a group of interns at an ordinary city hospital.
Has a B.A. in English Literature from Harvard University. He was accepted at Columbia Law School but a Harvard professor recommended him to playwright Derek Washburn for the off-Broadway play, "The Love Nest". While working in New York City on soap operas, he attended New York University Law School
(1982-1983).
