In a 1987 interview, he revealed that, while under consideration for
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983), he was not informed about the role of Anakin Skywalker until the producers were certain that he would be playing the character. Because the role was being kept a secret during production of the movie, he was under contract not to disclose it to anyone.
