If you have followed Sidharth Anand's previous outings, you would know what to expect from him, but he manages to surprise big time. It's unlike any of the films that he has done before. This one is grounded, well written and has strong emotions, unlike his previous action blockbusters. But when it comes to action, the aerial action in the film is unlike anything that we have seen before in India. It's absolutely mind blowing and the cgi and vfx is too good for that budget and indian standards. Also the trio of Hrithik, Deepika and Anil kapoor fit in so well and have pretty good character arcs with Hrithik coming up with yet another brilliant act.

Watch it immediately. Not everyday bollywood makes aeriel action films with good plot, emotions and smooth cgi. Have to say, Fighter is without any doubt, best film from Sid Anand.

Can the remake/adaptation be better than rhe original? Vikram Vedha makes you ask this question repeatedly. They have successfully recreated the magic of Tamil version albeit on a much much bigger scale and in a more commercial manner. Dialogues are sharp, BGM is outstanding but what makes it all the more special is camaraderie between Ferocious Hrithik and subtle Saif. With some new twists and surprises, this one is a pitch perfect action entertainer for hindi audience. Hrithik deserved a far better song than alcoholia to groove to. Support cast is well picked. Action and cinematography too need special mention.

If you have watched The fault in our stars, don't even bother watching this pathetic remake. It's sad that the lead actor Sushant is no more, but this film of his doesn't deserve the high rating that it has got (emotional public). Screenplay, songs, characters, nothing feels right.. Had it been a regular release, it would have been termed a disaster by both critics abd public. I would rate it 1 star but as a token of respect for the departed soul, give it a 4/10.
