Brasília: Planejamento Urbano

A curious and interesting look at the then recent development of Brazil's capital located in the state of Goiás, Brasília is shown here not only through the optic of his famous constructions and the urban and unusual concepts created by Oscar Niemeyer and Lúcio Costa (sadly they're not even mentioned there) but also through the projects, the architectural plans of the roads and buildings, perfectly calculated and planned (possibly the only Brazilian city with a careful plan through everything).

Fernando Coni Campos film is a quite educational project and also a brief tourism view back at a time when the city wasn't totally complete, a lot more would be added. But the congress, the ministry buildings, the roads from the surroundings plus the residential buildings and cultural spaces were already there, and we have plenty of explanations about those places, and how they benefit and improve the community. Great shots from the city all around.

Pity that whenever one has to talk and think about the city it doesn't came in a favorable way thanks to the politics and the everlasting chaotic scenario one usually sees taking place there. As for its constructions and developments, it's certainly a model to be seen that hardly ever happens, and it's great to look at it. 7/10.
