But look like this anime don't have standard of logic and the director confused to continue the plot of the story After the main character get devil king power, and go to the new academy just a jealous student can beat him ? After he get devil king power after he learn a new power.. So the jealous student academy power is more than DEVIL KING. How about the teacher ?? It must be GODEST If the story continue and the teacher can beat by the other devil or oponent... I don't know what power is more than GODEST ??

Viewer will be confused by this.

Where I hear reviews on the books are good, this anime version is, just plane BAD.

It's like the Three Stooges crossed with Lost in Space: The characters are either: just plain stupid, devious, or seem to know everything🙄.

I can't believe, that they put off a proven show like Swallowed Star, to promote this crap.😕 C'mon man! At least stay a little more true to the books! Like my Dad always told me: Son, if your going to do something, do it right, or just don't do it.

Why would you piss off the entire fan base of a PROVEN winner of a show, to promote something that is done half ass. All you have to do is visit the forums for Sallowed Star, and you'll see, a bunch of pissed off people.

I had to at least give the show 3 stars for the effort. The 3d anime must be a lot of work, so, kudos and 10 stars, to the people doing the work! It's not their fault the bosses want things done half ass.

This is one of the top donghua's that adds an extra layer of animation compared to other ones. The animator's successfully gives microexpression's to characters, and it enhances the quality of narrative that the story drives through the characters. I don't think many does it, maybe I have seen two more teams that does it for certain portions of an episode but it's very rare, and I am unsure whether my memory is right about it. All donghua's tell somewhat the same story with little tweaks, so this one is not that bad in that aspect. For me the fun lies in the levelling-up, procuring skills and items, and breaking the rules and statuses of existing clout's, etc. The beginning was a drag, but from then on it's keeping-up a pace that is considered industry standard.

As a cultivation donghua lover, I find this show rather unique from most of the other cultivation donghuas out there ("most of").

The visuals are great. Story differs from novel time to time and many details seems vague as a result. But the animators did great by putting clues in the early episodes which makes it very interesting and satisfying once you uncover those mysteries; you have to do your own digging outside the animation though.

I know that early release watchers are disappointed because of slow pace and some logics which they don't understand and thus defame it and slander it on reddit and other forums. But they are merely like a child throwing tantrums after reading their reviews.

You have to watch atleast 50 episodes to get to the good part.

Update: S1 (52 eps) was good, s2 had change of director and the story starts to deviate from the novel too much such that they add forced comedy at every episode and neglect story details and flex their studio graphics power by adding unnecessary fights. If only it has some of "A Record of A Mortal's Journey to Immortality" story telling done by the same studio, it could have been one of the best donghuas out there.
