Blood Relatives

I'm mostly angry about the lack of realistic cast! I usually look up a crime and get the full story after watching an episode and I'm ALWAYS shocked to see the huge difference in looks of the real people and the casting Blood Relatives uses. I never expect it to be the same but this one is so far off it's comical. So on the show you see a beautiful couple move into a beautiful home. Go online and read the real story and you find out they lived in a beat up Doublewide the wife is 500 pounds and the husband is drooling on him self. I think it would do them good to follow deadly women and use casting that makes sense!

Between the ridiculously soothing voice of the commentator and the excessively good looking actors it is beyond cheesy. The funniest part is when they show the actual mugshots of the actual people who committed the crime at the very end of the show they are all so unattractive and downright ugly it makes it laughable. Especially after they spent the last hour overstating the individuals' beauty and how every one desires them.

The family storylines are usually diabetically sweet in the beginning and way overdone. Everyone is rich, beautiful, smart, etc. The story could be told in less than fifteen minutes if it wasn't for all the adjectives they use.

Worst show on HLN.

Does the production company have to pay the families for turning their heart wrenching stories into something worse? And for creating something more ridiculous than a mix: worst Lifetime-movie/worst soap?

I can't for the world of me imagine what drives some people in this industry. This is labeled a documentary, which it simply isn't. I wish somebody would hand them a dictionary.

With the dramatization & cast, this, at best, passes as "movie based on true events".

If you are after crime documentaries/shows I would recommend to move on.. there is so so much better stuff out there.

The super-cheesy dramatizations combined minimal input from participants in the actual investigations make this one of the worst of the currently available true crime series. I can't imagine how its current rating here is over 7-- even a 4 is being generous. You'd be better off watching repeats of "CSI MIami"-- it's just as cheesy, but the production values are much better.

Talk about a remake of Desperate Housewives - the same narrator, some of the same music and even the wording used by the narrator was just like Desperate Housewives. At least Desperate Housewives was a good series, Blood Relatives absolutely sucks and I haven't even made it through the first episode yet!

For such a serious subject/situation, this show totally made a farce out of that poor family's nightmare. I feel so sorry for that family and hope they haven't seen this idiotic episode.

Anyone associated with this show, that had any kind of control of how it turned out, should definitely not put this on their resume - they'd be laughed out of the room.
