Avis à la une
I have recently watched Firenado on Amazon Prime and I didn't like it. It started out very interesting with a group of tornado scientists experimenting with the tornado which quickly got bigger and their man makes a stupid choice to make the tornado to get bigger and doesn't climb back up to escape and they were chased by the tornado which became a fire tornado after going through the gas station. While the people are rescuing the people from their homes, the mafia decides to invade a rich man's house to rob him for money and then it got very violent and gory. I didn't like how violent this action crime film got and there was profanity involving many uses of the F word like the Scarface 1980s remake. This should've been rated R for gory violence, extreme profanity, brief torture scene, peril. Please skip this awful film, this film should win a Razzie award for the bad story and dumb plot.
Also why didn't the tornado chasers in the van call the police and SWAT team? It was stupid of the woman to go alone in the house by herself to rescue a man and even stupider of her workers to drop her off at a dark invaded house with robbers and leave her alone in the dark, it's really dangerous to take on a group of mafia men by themselves. Also why would you be in the path of the fire tornado which was very stupid.
I watched Fire Twister in 2015 which wasn't as bad compared to this gory violent, profane film. Also, this film clearly doesn't take place in America since the cars have drivers side on the right and people speak in European accents. It should've taken place in Europe. Anyways I should've turned it off, the rated R bloody scenes made me sick. Don't bother with this violent crime film. I hope it becomes unavailable in the future. I didn't like how the ending turned out. This should win a Razzie award for shock violence, bad storyline, worst screenplay.

I typically love watching cheesy B natural disaster and mutant monster movies, however, try as I could to even make it to the end of this movie, I just couldn't do it. Not sure if I have ever seen such a bad "natural" disaster movie. It was so bad I couldn't even laugh at it. Please tell me we haven't reached the end of this classic B movie genre. When I was younger I used to look forward to Saturdays when I could stay home and watch this kind of film on USA or sy-fy. It would be such a shame to know that we are at the "end of an era" of the movies that I grew up watching, and loving. Watch it having been warned.
I knew very well that this was not going to be entertaining but as I do love disaster films, I thought I'd watch it. First it reminded me of Hurricane Heist though the latter was much, much better. Second, there were so many things wrong with it. One of many, there they are staring at a tornado which looks as though they are only meters away from it, and not a single hair is out of place. The tornado isn't affecting anything! I can go on and on with the hiccups throughout the movie.
I do say I give credit to some of the actors, in a way they were convincing and did a good job as actors but the criminals? They definitley could have acted a little better.
Was quite happy once the film finished; not happy because of the movie, but happy I didn't need to continue watching any more of it.

Well, with a movie title such as "Firenado", then let's just face it that expectations for a proper movie aren't really high, now are they? Yet, I still opted to sit down and watch this 2023 movie on the off chance that it would be so bad it was enjoyable, much like the "Sharknado" movies.
On the plus side, then writer Tom Jolliffe delivered exactly what you would assume from a movie titled "Firenado"; which was an absolute dumpster fire of a storyline and script. Yeah, the movie was bad, so very, very bad. But not in a way that it become enjoyable to watch. Nay, "Firenado" was just downright a lousy movie experience. The storyline was almost non-existing and so simplistic that you could essentially just watch the beginning and ending of the movie, as everything in between just felt like filling.
The only familiar face on the screen for me was actress Nicola Wright, and she is not one that is known for having an abundance of top notch movie nicks on her belt.
Visually, then I will say that "Firenado" was actually surprisingly good. Now, hold your horses, because I am not saying that it was a great visual experience, not at all. But the CGI effects in "Firenado" were much better than I had anticipated them to be. However, the visual effects just were hollow as the was no existing storyline to enjoy.
If you enjoy natural disaster movies, then you know that the vast majority of such movies are usually rubbish. I have to say that directors Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Scott Jeffrey delivered a movie at the very bottom end of the scale.
"Firenado" is not a movie that I would recommend you waste your time, money or effort on. Some of us suffered through this so you don't have to. And I miraculously endured the entire movie.
My rating of "Firenado" lands on a one out of ten stars.

Watching this now is it set in Texas am confused as half the cast sound English and some have really bad American accents!!! I love cheesy disaster movies so still plan to watch it even with the bad acting. One minute Anna sounds American, then English and then Scottish or Irish lol. The special effects are awful too but hey it's a disaster movie what do you expect. Even the number plates are British lol. Anyone know where it was filmed or where it's supposed to be set ? Same thing with the movie shockwaves filmed by the same people. Is that film set in usa or England. Looks like England but never mentioned and it's not like England is on the edge of a tectonic plate and even the scientists wouldn't or couldn't explain why lol.
Le saviez-vous
- GaffesWhile some of the people in the film mentions they are in Texas in the United States and the American flag is seen in their van, you can see the drivers side is on the right side instead of the left side. Also people use European accents.
