Seven minute movie feels like a feature length experience!

"Dorme" is one of those rare movies that feed your heart and warm your soul. The cinematography is breathtaking and extremely surreal. The soundtrack is beautiful and it would pull you in this journey. The story reminds me many of my favorite beloved children stories like "The Little Prince" and "Alice in Wonderland." I was invited to see this movie on the big screen at the San Francisco International Film Festival. This movie played many, many film festivals and even won some awards. For a seven minute movie, it felt like a feature length experience! The movie still haunts me to this day and I am looking forward to seeing more of Sylvia Binsfeld work. More good reasons why her work inspire me and want to be an artist in the first place. Thank you! - Sage Drake, writer/director "My Gift"

Beautiful, considering...

I mainly wanted to write something here to say that this little gem is available to the public on YouTube (at least as of Feb, 2nd, 2011) here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xG9IvBrfto For those who don't already know, this is an extremely low-budget production with an almost home-made feel. If you keep this in mind while watching you should have nothing but appreciation for the visual world that is created.

The music was a distraction for me - the male part is often out of tune, which keeps wanting to pull your focus away from the beauty of the visual wonderland presented. It is not a matter of opinion if he is out of tune; it is a matter of opinion if it bothers you. I finally muted the audio about 2 minutes in and enjoyed the film more because of it. I hope the audio is only a distraction for me as I want the film to be well-received.
