Avis à la une
This movie is an adventure in a blending of plots, and it doesn't do it that well. It's a tale of two couples, who are given a game by a restaurant owner. They take it home to play, and are soon captivated by it's realism. It's supposed to make all of their sexual fantasies come true. The more they play, the less will they have to want to stop playing, and soon one of the couples decide to stop playing. The other couple continues playing, however, and lose touch with reality. All they want to do is play that game. Their minds are not their own anymore. You see folks, the guy that gave them the game is the devil....that's right, the devil. He uses the game to rob people of their free will and force them to do his bidding. He promises them eternal bliss and limitless sexual pleasure in exchange for their ability to decide for themselves. Lorissa McComas acts much better here than she did in some of her other movies, and Sage Kirtpatrick really surprised me with her acting ability. I'd recommend this movie to anyone who likes watching skin-flicks or low-budget horror movies.
Love Games is the kind of movie that is for either fans of soft-core or the devil. The "game" scenes are good, but with the normal slow jazzy music on top of the audio. I would only recommend it if it happens to come on TV and you have nothing else to do. It is not worth renting.
The late night scene on Cinemax is definatley at a high. LOVE GAMES, I suppose, could contribute to this high. The girls are hot and the plot is decent, which makes for a very mediocre adult film. But what makes this one stand out is the low-budget horror atmosphere that surrounds it. It makes for a medicore, yet a highly entertaining premise. Horror and porn? Do they mix? Mostly no. This, however, makes an exception.
This is how it starts out: we see two couples making love to eachother in their houses. We next find out that they are all friends. They go to dinner one night and "The Devil" aproaches them. He offers a game, a love game if you will, that is like a mechanical spin the bottle game of sex. This is how it works. A player places his or her hand on a small platform and it points to who they make love to. This all seems like fun and games...until it turns deadly.
Some would dismiss this as just a porno, but it really is a little more than that. When this film lights up your TV screen late on a friday night on Cinemax, you are in for a treat (in my opinion of course!). A treat consisting of an entertaining and hot blend of adult film and horror.

Although the movie's plot is trite and the acting is forced, the actors are all very, very hot. The women are to die for and the guys are awesome, especially Jason Kerwin. Can't wait to see more of him. See this movie for the visual feast of nude flesh that it displays. Titillating and arousing are the best words to describe watching the action that unfolds.
This movie drags indeterminably, and not even the soft-porn sex scenes are that interesting. There is some very clever dialogue between the heroic couple and the Devil, and some nice supernatural-type camera work as well. But the movie otherwise plods endlessly.
