Zoe Perry is the real-life daughter of Laurie Metcalf from The Big Bang Theory (2007). Over 20 years earlier, she also played the younger version of her mother in episodes 5.7, Halloween IV (1992) and 7.19, All About Rosey (1995) of Roseanne (1988). Now, she again plays a younger version of her mother's character over 20 years later.

Gaffes
Sheldon mentioned a few times in "The Big Bang Theory" that Billy Sparks was a bully of his in his youth. Billy Sparks (outside of intentionally scaring him with a chicken in the first episode for his own mild amusement) seems rather cordial with Sheldon in this series when they're together. However, Sheldon is often unreliable when it comes to his past. A great example is how he and Tam drifted apart. Sheldon saw it one way, and Tam took it a different way.

No Laugh Track.....

It took until episode 5 of season 2 for me to realise that this has no laugh track, yet it is much funner than the show it spins off from, The Big Bang Theory. Don't get me wrong I have been watching TBBT from day one and will continue to watch it, but Young Sheldon is much much funnier.

Like another reviewer stated, it must have been a huge chore trying to find a child to play Young Sheldon, but they have done a fantastic job. For me the whole cast does a brilliant job, but my favourite is Montana Jordan as Georgie, closely followed by Annie Potts as his Grandmother and Lance Barber as his dad.

Excellent show and one I look forward to watching each week.
