I came across this beautiful film ' Birha ' on Jio Cinema app and I still can't get over the fact as how beautifully and poetically the story has been communicated. It almost felt like the entire story was happening in front of my eyes. It was as real as it can get. Right from writing, direction, bgm to acting, cinematography, casting etc it excels in all departments. Special mention and thanks to Rajit Kapur sir and Manav Kaul sir who I feel are 2 of the best actors we have. Big congratulations to producers like Galib Dutta ji for showing the courage to back such stories which are high on content and emotion. It's time that we as Indian Audiences start giving respect to such cinema which is deeply rooted in each one of us.
Without giving too much about the story. I suggest that if you get a chance to watch it with your parents it'll be icing on the cake.
Coincidentally it's my parents anniversary today and I can't thank them enough for all that they have done for me.
Watch this masterpiece as soon as you can, you'll probably thank me later 🙏🙏

Deeply authentic characters and a truely innovative twist makes an otherwise traditional peemise come alive; all packed into an unbelievable 25 minute short story.
Very accurate setting where the house resembles exactly the kind of house that one would find in rural North India. The setting gives power to the plot.
Dialogues were incredibly honest and subtly talks about a lot of issues without being in your face. In today's political climate, such films should be viewed by all young Indians and parents.
No words can give justice to the praise I wish to give to the actors!
We absolutely cannot wait to see more from the writer, Hemant Singh!

This was my 4th movie in the short series currently on Jiocinema and undoubtedly the best of short movies seen in a long time Brings tears to eyes. You just can't help think from both sides.. Folly of a youthful ambition and cry for redemption and then thinking and imagining the long journey led by the parents after their sons errant doing.. of what thy had felt over the years gone by.. And then the simple human emotion of parental love and forgiveness for an errant child.
Must watch. Excellent performances in past and present. You can just not think of the plot again and again. Its short movie but it will remain with you for a long long time
