We don't need anymore to keep killing franchise bad enough we already had live action movies now this i don't recommend watching this one stick to something Icarly this is just insulting who grew up with original show.
When I saw the trailer for this, I was shocked, as who wanted this cartoon to be revived, especially after its last two seasons proved it has past its prime and especially as a live-action sitcom? Seeing the show, it's not as bad as I thought it would be, but it's not good either.
Set years after the cartoon, Timmy Turner is headed to college, but decides not to take his fairies with him. Thankfully, with his cousin Vivian, Viv for short, moving back into Dimsdale, decides to allow her to have them, even going as far as to get a permission scroll from Jorgen Von Straggle. Now, the fairies help Viv, as well as her stepbrother, Roy, navigate life in Dimsadale.
Okay, this reboot is a live action reboot, complete with an unnecessary laugh track for jokes, but it does have some good things. For the time being, it seems to have erased the bad continuity of the cartoons (as there's no Chloe Carmichael to be seen, and not even Poof is anywhere near this, although there is a chance if the shows actually continues beyond 13 episodes, they may show up). Also, Nickelodeon made the good choice to have Wanda, Cosmo, and the fairies be traditional animation instead of the CGI they were done in for the TV movies (which thanks to this, is also non-canon), with Darran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee returning to voice Cosmo, Jorgen and Wanda. And while Vicky returns and is recast, so does Denzel Crocker, and unlike Vicky, Carlos. Alazaquil returns to play this memorable villain, even in live action form.
However, as I said, it is still far from perfect. The live action sitcom format is a bit iffy, and some of the jokes are hit or miss. However, I suggest not taking my word for it, or any other people who are posting positive or negative reviews without explaining the series in general with an open mind (be it a couple episodes or the full series, the latter being if you have time to kill) and coming up with your own opinion.

I watched the original FOP. I liked the show more then SpongeBob. I watched the live action movie, and I found it alright.
This is an abomination. The kids aren't miserable, the script is... questionable. It confuses me, who is this show for?! Toddlers? But there are so many references to the original and bizarre ones at that. There was a fricking South Park reference. Is it for fans of the original? No one over the age of 6 would find this funny. This show is a horrible mess. Please to spare your eyes, don't watch this.

This is pretty much a live action sitcom with a laugh track, with animated characters in it. The only real cool thing to see is the original voices returning for the animated characters. Aside from that it's all cringe humor, horrid acting, over the top, and a snooze fest. Just please bring back the original! Make it animated, hasn't Nickelodeon learned any live action Fairly Oddparents project never holds a candle to the show? Gosh, I'd rather sit through the Chloe episodes than to touch THIS again. I'd say just binge watch the original show on Paramount+ and just shrug to this one.
This show takes a huge dump on the og show and ignores the established canon . These kids don't look miserable at all. In the original show only miserable kids had fairy god parents . This show is just a cash grab . I noticed Butch Hartman is a producer on the show . He very obviously doesn't care and is only doing this for the money. The movies with drake bell are better than this mess . Even though those movies were cringey too . If they wanted to do a sequel it should have been animated . Fairly Odd Parents doesn't work as a live action sitcom . Maybe it would have worked with better actors . This is just awful. 1/10.

- AnecdotesDue to the show's insignificance, it was not only canceled for a second season but also removed from Paramount+ on January 30, 2023. Soon afterwards, it was removed from the Nickelodeon network on TV and on demand as well as iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, and even Nickelodeon's official website. No DVDs were made of the show either. Various clips can still be found on the Nickelodeon and Paramount YouTube channels along with only the second full episode on Nickelodeon's channel listed for free.
