It's like "Sex in the City" with just 3 girls in "The Odd Couples", an oddly titled segment in this classic series by Toni English. Toni shares script credit with the wonderful Raven Touchstone, and it makes for some sparkling, sharp dialog.
Heard only in voice-over narration and her closeup as radio jock, Nina Hartley tells of would-be actors in Hollywood, but the title's expected "odd" match-ups do not occur.
Instead we have Keri Windsor as Monica and Asia Carrera as Tori Dixon (her last name is mentioned here for the first time) spotting a guy at the bar who looks like a TV star but is in fact the husband of their friend Elizabeth (Nicole Sheridan). The duo follow him out of the bar with a young girl in tow, who they've christened "The Embryo".
They listen outside the window as he humps Monica Mayhem, far from underage and a porn great in her own right, though given zero lines by Raven & Toni.
Tori is designing a website for movie star Justin, a regular played by Randy Spears. Spears humps his girlfriend Tori, and Asia Carrera is mighty appealing in the role.
Monica wants to revenge Rafe's cheating on his wife, so she arranges for off again/on again photographer friend/foe Chad (Steven St. Croix) to do a photo shoot of Sheridan with herself and Voodoo (Sheridan's real-life husband, a slightly confusing casting to those in the know). This results in incriminating photos but before she can spring them on Rafe & Sheridan she discovers them at home in BDSM mode - Nicole in dominatrix fetish gear brandishing a whip and Rafe her ultra-submissive slave.
Annie (Dee) has a sexy bowling alley tryst with butch-styled guest star Dru Berrymore, while Windsor tries out her deep-throat prowess on fellow bowler, well-hung Julian. This last vignette has a ridiculous continuity error: Julian begins humping Keri with a condom on making for a rather tight fit but a jump cut has him completely that and the next few positions of intercourse bareback. Why the alternate take/angle condom shot was left in the final print is a mystery.
