I was a major fan of this show when it aired in 1995. The sketches were so freaking hilarious! I loved the theme song "If I Knew You Were Coming, I'd Have Baked A Cake!" This is really where I started loving Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello. The summer of 1995 on Comedy Central was pivotal. The Vacant Lot and Exit 57 made it so. Sadly, I didn't tape any of them. I thought Comedy Central was really off base when they decided to let this show slide into oblivion. It's just sad that Comedy Central didn't back these endeavors further. If only I knew then what I know now; that it would be an uphill battle to find anyone who even remembers Exit 57, I would have taped every episode. But the sketch comedy was so well written, very much on par with The Kids in the Hall, that I thought it would be a shoo-in for repeats. Alas, I was wrong. I'm upset that they've let these two shows wither away in memory lane when there is clearly a fan base who would buy a DVD set of these two shows!
