Senryuu Girl is truly a gem that deserves more recognition. Its two main characters are an adorable girl who can never manage to speak out and hence communicates through written haiku, and a soft-hearted young man who unfortunately enough always comes across as an aggressive thug. Is the plot that original? Not at all. Boy and girl interact in various cute ways - it's been done before, and it will be done again. But Senryuu Girl sticks out in how is does it. It uses an entire literary genre as the focal point for its story, and not once does it feel contrived or like it's trying to maintain a shtick just for sticking out. It's a lovely story about communication and how we can do better (a point that all of its side characters tie in to in some way as well), and not once does it take itself too seriously. Its funny, often surprisingly self-aware humor always made me smile, and it managed to do so in a half-length anime even.
Purely bite-sized adorableness that never overstays its welcome and leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy, Senryuu Girl deserves your time. <3

I watched it in a go as after starting this i didn't realize i had already reaches the end. in a nutshell - a silent voice but wholesome. i feel it is aimed at an audience who are really depressed and want their empty hearts to be filled with something satisfying. i recommend those people to watch this anime and don't regret living
In the end, Senryuu Shoujo's endearing ensemble of personalities is what keeps me interested. The persona of Nanako is that of a gregarious young lady who is eager to make friends with everybody, including the ex-delinquent Eiji. Due to his frightening appearance, Eiji is portrayed throughout the series as someone who is misinterpreted by others. We get to see their relationship from the inside as Literature Club members. Even though the two frequently joke about with one another, it's clear that they genuinely care for one another. Or maybe there's more to it than meets the eye. Even Eiji, who is extremely intelligent, is unaware of Nanako's affections for him.
We do have other characters in the interim, such Amane Katagari, the president of Literature Club. Her attempts to get Eiji and Nanako together for some alone time are a recurring joke in the program. In a similar vein, Koto Ootsuki, Eiji's childhood friend, enjoys making fun of the two whenever she gets the chance. In order to keep the audience entertained, it makes time to consistently market comedy. This also applies to Tao Hankai, the fortune teller who is well-known for having an odd personality. By the time we meet most of the cast, I believe there is always someone to watch out for. The other nonverbal girl, Kino, was the only character that didn't really wow me. She lacks presence and is overly shy, in contrast to Nanako.
Senryuu Shoujo is essentially a laid-back slice of life animation that places more emphasis on character interaction than plot. It shouldn't be difficult for anyone to consider the meaning behind each episode of this anime. Actually, the comedy itself feels quite straightforward a lot of the time, with even more characters receiving their own spotlight moments. This includes Eiji's incomprehensibility or Nanako's father with his own misinterpreted fancies. There will undoubtedly be some viewers who think this kind of humor is cheesy and badly done. But really, that's your ball game.

Ok it's fair enough that's it's about a mute girl and a delinquent being friendly together but I feel the plot isn't making any difference to adding in new flavours to the anime. I know slice of anime doesn't add anything exciting but at the same time it could. However this is one of them that I don't have time to keep watching unfortunately.....
ENG
Senryuu Girl is a calm and relaxing anime that offers a pleasant experience with its short episodes. The art style is charming, using soft colors and simple designs that add a warm touch to the series. The main character, Nanako, expresses herself only through senryuu (a type of short poem), which gives the show a unique and sweet storytelling style. This poetic communication makes the interactions between characters feel fresh and endearing.
One of the most entertaining parts of the anime is Nanako's father. His overprotective behavior and the intense yet funny reactions he has toward Ryuujii are genuinely amusing. Every scene he's in brings a smile.
However, the biggest weakness of the anime is its lack of a strong story. There's barely any plot development or character growth. While the calm atmosphere is nice, it sometimes feels like nothing really happens.
Overall, Senryuu Girl is a lovely pick for those looking for something light and sweet, but it may not satisfy viewers hoping for a deeper or more engaging story. 7/10.
