According to the news that happened in New Zeland, this film has released at the perfect timing and it should be watched by reviewing the current situation. This film shows again the values of humanity. It is not about being a Turk or an Australian, it is about being human and it is about humanity. We should consider everyone as equal. Stop racism and stop wars! It has been 100 years. Is it not enough???

Good plot / poor acting

The movie gives a brief information about the war at Canakkale and points fingers to unknown heroes of the war and their tragedy. Though having a plot upon war, the movie supports humanitarian thoughts and peace. The movie was good overall, but needed better acting especially from the Turkish actors. Some used words were much more recent than the years plot took place which caused an artificial athmosphere to the movie. I recommend this movie to be watched, but not with great expectations.

Uncertain tone

Inspired by unfortunate events , the story of two imigrants, subjects of Otoman Empire setteled in Australia at the begining of WW1. Film starts as a light comedy, untill the chain of events turns it into serious tragedy. Good production values, solid acting, decent entertaining level bu uncertain tone in the storyline. Worth seeing, though. 8 out of 10 points.
