This Day Forward

I went through cancer and death of my husband. While watching this movie I felt as if I was reliving my life. It is the truest movie I have ever seen regarding the reality of dealing with terminal illness.

Christian Faith-based films usually follow a certain, likely unwritten, code: depict life as neat and straightforward and Christians as steadfast, and unwaveringly faithful. But life is not made up of simple either/or choices nor is real faith the absence of doubt and/or fear. This Day Forward lets us see people genuinely confronted by real fear. It lets us see moments when faith vanishes and the only things left are the people you let into your life. It's that real moment when the question confronts you: Am I going to retreat into myself or am I going to let others in to help carry me through this?

This is a well done, inspirational, heartfelt film! The acting and storytelling are superb! It does a great job exploring when an unimaginable event hits a family and how it, through faith and positive belief it brings a community together.

From the story to the acting, this movie was absolutely phenomenal! I cared so much about the characters that it brought me to tears. This is a movie everyone should see as it has such an important message: what it takes for a couple to stick together when the world is collapsing from unforeseen tragic circumstances. This movie is my new favorite movie and I can't recommend it enough.
