Following a vicious fugitive, a pair of bounty hunters track their query to a remote town on the Western frontier known as Amityville which soon brings them into contact with a demonic figure controlling the locals and anyone who comes to the town forcing them to get away alive.
This was a fairly fun and enjoyable genre effort. Among the better features with this one is the series of impressive elements here building up the old-school Western atmosphere alongside the more traditional genre elements. The central setup of the bounty hunters looking for the fugitive on the loose and coming across the remote settlement that they believe he's hiding in only for the residents to be under the spell of a demonic entity preventing them and the bounty hunters from escaping features a lot to like here. With the focus on the hunters riding around trying to find their target and getting clues that lead to the town that has everyone in their thrall only for the two to slowly come across that fact, it makes for a great mixture of the Western setting and location keeps things interesting at first while also dealing out hints that the possessed individuals are present which highlights the more supernatural activity present. From there, the second half of this one manages to bring about quite a bit of fun as the race to uncover the truth about the demonic entity controlling everything around them. With a fine reason why it's not taking them out immediately and manipulating the environment until it's ready, the scenes involving the possessed townsfolk trying to put their plan into action only for the series of reveals and twists that bring about the kind of cheesy, low-budget goodness usually found in this type of genre effort. That's mainly the biggest detriment to the film where it becomes quite apparent and obvious about what type of feature this is as the style and approach taken here should be obvious based on the creative crew and it continues here with the effects and production value keeping this one firmly rooted in that style. There's not much else holding this one back beyond the style on display.
Rated Unrated/R: Violence and Language.
