Pappachan Olivilaanu

This is my first review and I went for the film seeing the 9.7 IMDb rating. But the film was disappointing, not a single good humour to laugh . Saiju kurup doesn't have much to perform, eventhough he is a good actor and the movie was Waste of money and time. The movie doesn't deserve more comments. Even the most seasoned actors seemed to struggle with the poorly written dialogue and lack of depth in their roles. The most glaring flaw of this movie was its poorly constructed screenplay. The plot lacked coherence and was riddled with plot holes that were never adequately explained, leaving viewers confused and frustrated. It felt like the filmmakers had no clear vision for the movie, resulting in a disjointed mess that failed to engage or captivate.

Explicit scenes showing the dog being shot could have been avoided. Film makers should keep in mind the sensitivity of the viewers. Would have given eight stars if that scene was not there. Giving six stars because of those scenes.

Why are you asking to write six hundred characters. Do not compel people to write so long. Now I am simply writing to make it six hundred. Now there are still around two hundred characters to go. Now there are around one hundred and fifty characters to go. Now there are around eighty characters to go. Now there are around forty characters to go. Finally it's coming close. Whew.

A film that was solely put on the shoulder of the main actor to drive it forward. Misguided direction and choppy filler stories is what makes this film unwatchable. If Kottayam Naseer was given the role of direction, with his years of running a troop, he would have put forth a better product. If Santosh Pandit was given all the resources that this film had, a better product was guaranteed. That is how bad the direction was and how the story was presented. The film was somehow stitched together by the editor to make it look like something closely resembling to a story (even though it isn't). It is sad to see a producer's money wasted like this. There are films that doesn't become a hit because they were not marketed properly or were tarnished by media, even if it was well knitted story (e.g., O. Baby). Then there are films like this that are a disaster as a product and a complete flop. A minimum of 2-3 core would have been spent on this, I believe.

Frustrated.

This is just a movie to get OTT money. Pathetic Screenplay and poor scripting. The worst was the songs in the movie which was close enough to telugu songs dubbed in malayalam.

Film seems like a low budget album or short film with many new actors who seemed like they paid for the role. Main characters are doing something and director was sleeping it seems.

Director, Editor, Lyrics and Script writer all had done their wonderful contribution to make this a total flop.

If you have nothing to do and all the time is there, then you may choose this film as the village and forest atmosphere is soothing. Thats the only thing I could find near positive.
