Maple Leaf

The cinematography in this short film is fabulous. I particularly liked the church scene and drone shots. The viewer can read many things into the meaning of the film, all of which add to the overall message. Mental health, love, death, are things that we will all encounter at some point in our lives, and everyone deals with these encounters in such different ways which the actors portray so well. The music is also really powerful and I loved the main song that is sung in the pub scene by a female guitarist songwriter, which reminded me of a Kate Walsh vibe. Can't wait to see more from this up and coming director.
