So if you have read the other reviews, you can tell that this is one of those "either you love it or hate" shows. I enjoy it immensely although it is not without its shortcomings. Pros: The two main characters are naive and incredibly likable. The voice acting is superb, the secondary characters are solid as well. The stories themselves are original, humorous, and lighthearted; as are the jokes. Cons: It takes some time getting used to the characters and their situations. The plot sometimes either takes too long to develop or it never fully matures.
You can't make a judgement on just watching one episode and it takes a few viewings to get into the story. I did not add this show to my DVR recordings until after 4 episodes. I would like to see how the characters develop in the future.

I had to write a quick review because I was blown away at some of the completely exaggerated negative reviews by some.
Going in, I had no huge expectations, but I like the list of voice actors and producers, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. I think it is somewhat accurate when people say it's almost like a 'feel-good' Beavis & Butthead story; but I like it! I think Hornsby and Long do well to make the viewer like their playfully ignorant characters.
To me, the main things that stood out after watching to first few episodes were likable and interesting characters, but also the animation. I know some have been negative about the animation, but I was personally blown away by it. I definitely think it is one of the highlights of the show.
All in all, it's definitely worth watching the first few episodes. I know after I did, I immediately put 'Unsupervised' on my DVR and can't wait until the next episode!

I think this show is hilarious. It's obviously made for young adults and older as it contains strong language, sexuality, and drug references. The show appears very immature and thats why it does not appeal to the arrogant, narrow-minded "intellectual" audience. But little do they know that the show is very well scripted. Underlying all the immature comedy and stupidity lies very cleverly placed messages. The show is all about two best friends exploring life as they go through high school and deal with teenage problems under almost poverty-stricken circumstances, broken homes, and the obvious peer pressures that come with puberty and teenage lifestyle. Everyone can relate to this, it's reminiscent of most people's childhood, except for the stuck up "intellectuals" who had no life growing up, and think they're too good for this show. The people that this show relate to probably can't afford cable television to watch it or are too busy dealing with personal problems. Overall this show is hilarious, cleverly written, and surprisingly heart warming. It has a strong complementary cast of characters that hit every element of a smart comedy. Rob is my favorite character, his randomness spikes the comedy in this show.

I think this show is wonderful. I am a big fan of Justin Long and Kristen Bell and also a fan of "Archer" and "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia." I couldn't believe when I read all the negative reviews. The animation goes great with the shows premise and I find the show to be hilarious as well as easy to watch again. The shows satirist view on inner city youth is not only funny, but shines a light on a real issue, "unsupervised" teenagers growing up in the city. Being from the city myself, I enjoy the shows graffiti-ish animation. I look forward to a second and hopefully many seasons to come. I will be disappointed if the show is snubbed for it's "off beat style of comedy" and is canceled due to lack of popularity.
"Unsupervised", though a little subtler than it's lead in, is actually a great adult cartoon. It's a step up in animation from the usual cable cartoons, and it has something that I feel has been missing from TV animation for a while... good characters and thoughtful stories.
The two main kids are a bit like a sweet-hearted Beavis and Butthead, and they're surrounded by a funny and diverse cast of supporting characters. Anyone who grew up poor can identify with a few things from the first two episodes, which is maybe why so few people seem to understand this little gem.
The stories of the first two episodes are actual stories, which is good news for people who may tire from the shotgun approach of, say, every Seth Mcfarlane show (I like them, but you get the point). So if this alternatively cute and foul show gets canceled, you only have yourself to blame the next time you complain about the current trend of non sequitur jokes and one dimensional characters.
