Cinematographer Jurgen Jurges discusses his work on the 1973 film TENDERNESS OF THE WOLVES. He starts off talking about how he got the job and then he gets into great detail about the making of the movie and various issues on the set. It seems that a lot of the problems came because of the relationship between Kurt Raab and the director Ulli Lommel. It seems that Raab wanted to do his own thing and this here led to producer Rainer Werner Fassbinder getting into the middle of things. Jurges does a wonderful job telling some great stories about the film including its influences, the use of light and his favorite scene in the film. If you're a fan of the movie then this featurette is certainly worth watching as Jurges takes up the entire twenty-four minute running time with some great stories about the troubled production.
