Avenues of Escape

This was an extraordinary film that sheds light on a largely hidden story about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and the extremes that practitioners must go to to to escape. It's also a story of resilience and conviction in the face of enormous pressure as well as the kindness of strangers along the way.

I myself have met with quite a few Falun Gong practitioners who fled to Thailand or Malaysia and who were resettled in New York City and Philadelphia, where I've lived. It's extraordinary to think of how these kind and humble people endured similar experiences, which remain far beyond my comprehension, just because they wanted to believe in the beautiful principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance.
